Trothe Limited Bordeaux 2020

More Cabernet Franc-dominated (there's one third Cabernet Sauvignon), the 2020 Limited is another beautiful wine. Red, blue, and black fruits define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied, with a layered, elegant mouthfeel, lots of classic Cabernet Franc violet and floral notes, and just a touch of grippy, gritty tannins on the finish.

Made from 67% Cabernet Franc and 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2020 Limited is dark-fruited with a juicy core of classic red peppers with balanced and spicy black cherry notes. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm and tannic, with a juicy note of coffee bean and toffee flavors, black cherries and fresh notions of sage and pepper skin. The palate continues evolving and shows a firmly tannic edge that lingers on the food-friendly finish. The wine rested for 23 months in all-new French oak barrels. This is set to be released in the fall. Only 492 bottles were produced
