"This esteemed producer reaching its fourth decade is not only a benchmark for the winery but for the state's wider industry. A blend of equal parts Champoux Vineyard and estate fruit coming from vines with an average of 35 years of age, this collector's anniversary wine was micro-produced at just under 100 cases. The aromas draw you in, with notes of black fruit, green pepper, fresh herb, flower, clove, spice, bittersweet chocolate, licorice and black cherry. Ripe, rich, dark fruit flavors follow, with plentiful barrel accents. There's polish and class along with a lot of structure around it all. Give it until at least 2027." SEAN P. SULLIVAN
