Piolet White Blend 2022

Bordeaux blanc-inspired but forgoing Semillon in favor of 30% Chardonnay, the 2022 White Blend Summer of Al sees 30% new French oak on the latter variety, while the Sauvignon Blanc gets mostly neutral oak. A rich, full-bodied white that’s creamy in texture, it confounds in its rich stone fruit and prominence of wood undertones, intensely lengthy and complex and rewarding from start to finish. This will stand up well to further aging, 10-12 years.
