The 2022 Grenache The 42 Year Slumber is made in an unapologetically ripe, powerful style. It has gregarious aromas of red cherry jam, Chinese five spice, smoked bacon and spearmint plus glossy new oak spices. At nearly 16% alcohol, the full-bodied palate is jam-packed with ripe, ultra spicy flavors. It’s framed by chalky tannins and has a long, layered finish with a touch of warmth.

Produced from a single parcel and a single block planted to the Tablas Creek clone, the 2022 Grenache The 42 Year Slumber is heady, hearty stuff, richly concentrated in a full-bodied purity of ripe berry fruit. The texture is dense and plush, with a lengthy structure of firm tannins and lasting hits of graphite, baking spice, and underlying acidity to keep it from falling over a cliff.
