Gorman Evil Twin Red Mountain Red 2012
🍷 750ml
Review by Jeb Dunnuck
eRobertParker.com # 219 (Jun 2015)
Rating: 92
Drink 2015 - 2021
A blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2012 The Evil Twin is a cellar selection focused on the most opulent barrels. Unapologetically rich and textured, with fabulous red and black fruits, mulled spices, toast and peppery meats, it’s full-bodied, decadent and layered, with serious density and depth. Aged 23 months in all new French oak and blended just prior to bottling, it’s a hedonistic dream to drink over the coming 5-6 years.
Wine Spectator
Score: 93
Issue June 2015
Tasting Note
Dense and expressive, this full-throated style drips with cherry, smoke, sage and leather flavors that keep singing as the finish rolls on. This has presence, and picks up a hint of stony minerality on the aftertaste. Best from 2017 through 2022. 396 cases made.
