although not 'true' Champagne in name or style, Washington's sparkling wines have proven to be fabulous values for events all over the country. The President has more than once poured Washingon State sparkling wines at events in the White House for visiting dignitaries. Frequently made from the traditional grapes of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Washington bubbly can also be found made from Syrah, Riesling, Pinot Gris and even Gewurztraminer.
