Semillon
Often thought of as simply a blending grape for Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon actually has a character and personality all its own when grown in the Columbia and Yakima Valleys. Very long lived in both dry and dessert styles, notes of beeswax, pear and melon are common descriptors and an almost oily and rich note is often found as well. Very serious wines with few comparisons world wide.
