in the 1980's Chenin Blanc was one of the premier white grapes in Washington State. In recent years, it has made a strong resurgence and is again gaining in plantings and likewise in the number of delicious examples to be found. Often creamy and ripe in the mouth, with crisp and tangy acidity, it makes a great alternative to Chardonnay or Sauvignon Blanc when looking for a white wine that is just a little different.
