Trothe Cabernet Sauvignon 2020

Fresh, refined and focused, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon is still shy in the glass with dark red fruit tones that waft with oak essences and sage before showing a tight tannic edge on the palate. Medium to full-bodied, the Cabernet has good bones but will need additional time to fill its shoes. Your patience will be rewarded. The wine rested for 23 months in 75% new French oak before being bottled. Give it time. 3,000 bottles produced.

All varietal from the Andrews Family Vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon has a gorgeous bouquet of pure crème de cassis, redcurrants, smoked tobacco, and lead pencil shavings. These carry to a medium to full-bodied, pure, beautifully balanced, elegant Cabernet with terrific purity, fine tannins, and a great finish. Easily the finest wine I've tasted from this estate, and it’s going to evolve for 20-25 years.
