South Africa has a very diversified wine growing landscape. From the hot and arid reaches of the Swartland to the cooler and more lush regions around the Cape and Southern Coast, Syrah (Shiraz) is widely grown and is as diverse as the landscape in which it is grown. Strongly structured versions with noticable barrel contact and deep extraction, to the more exotic, wild yeast and neutral barrel bottlings. There are Syrahs for every taste in this varied region.
