imported Sake

There is no question that Japan is the home to Sake. Produced from specific rices that are polished to specific levels of purity, then fermented, Sake is a science in itself. We are starting to see heirloom varieties, some with natural color now being produced as well. A growing segment are the sparkling Sakes and the popularity of the slightly fruity and cloudy Nigori sakes is growing by leaps and bounds. If you only remember the inferior, heated Sakes of years ago, it is time to revisit this historic and unique beverage.
