The 2018 Piet Bok Se Bos Steen is lively and fresh. The wine begins with a pale straw color and pops with fresh citrus blossom that floats on the nose. On the palate, the vibrancy and freshness of the acidity splashes down and streamlines through the mid-palate. Classic flavors of bitter salad greens, yellow apple, underripe peaches and melons all effortlessly glide across the tongue, ending with a medium finish. This wine is worth a look and would make a great gateway into (or out of) the Loire Valley. Nicely done!
